One way to prevent a blurry image is to use the focus lock trick. This means you hold down the shutter button half-way until a green square focuses on the subject in the image. You then complete the button press and hold the shutter button down. There are three other ways to prevent taking a blurry or unfocused picture. These include:

Elbows In
Touch your elbows in the middle of your chest while holding the camera.

Tripod on knee (Or other solid surface)
Use your knee as a tripod by resting your elbow on your knee while taking a photo. This steadies your arm.

Lying on the ground
Lay on the ground, resting one elbow on the floor and one hand on the ground under the camera.
